He completed his Bachelor of Law studies at the Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí (1984-1989) and obtained the degree of Doctor of Law from the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain, with the thesis Defense of the Constitution in the Mexican and Mexican legal systems.
