In 1964 he made murals in the National Museum of Anthropology. In 1990 he donated his collection of Mexican art, for the creation of the Rafael Coronel Museum. His work was recognized internationally when exhibited in countries such as Sao Paulo, Brazil; New York, USA; Brussels, Belgium; Milan, Italy, as well as in China and Chile. Renowned for his artistic work, Colonel Arroyo was awarded prizes such as The Tokyo Biennial, the Zacatecas 450 Award and the Ibero-American Award for the Merit of the Arts.
