"El estudio lingüístico del tabú mexicano, a través de los ejes de la muerte y la sexualidad, constituye una posibilidad más de análisis —a la par de los estudios sociológicos, antropológicos e, incluso, psicológicos— para identificar formas y valoraciones de los hablantes sobre estos temas. A partir del análisis morfológico y semántico del léxico referido al eros y al tánatos, el lector podrá reflexionar sobre cómo lo prohibido, el sabor de lo prohibido, puede reportar la cultura, identidad y visión de mundo de una comunidad, en este caso la mexicana, a la luz de un patrimonio intangible, la lengua.
